What is SEO or Search Engine Optimization and why does it matter?

SEO is exactly what it sounds like...the process of building your website so it is easy for search engines to find it. Our goal is to make it as "search engine friendly" as possible.

You may see sites online offering to submit your site to the major search engines for "X" amount of dollars. This is an unnecessary expense. Search engines automatically send out "spiders" to read and record every website on the Internet. If there is a link to your site, the spiders will find that link.

When we build your site, we build it with SEO in mind. We start with a strong page title, declaring the most important aspect of that page. We then build the site following techniques that make it easier for the spiders to index your site, including:

Using external CSS files
Using no frames or pop ups
Using minimal Flash animation
Using "alt" tags on relevant images
Using a set page size
Including a site map (if requested)
Using a text/CSS navigation menu
Using W3C Valid HTML code
Using W3C Valid CSS style sheets
Using light-weight code

Step 1: Initial Consultation

Your initial contact with PrismaPixel is the first step in bringing your dream into reality. During the initial consultation, we will work with you to get the best understanding of what your project is and how we can help you bring it to life. Before the end of the initial consultation, both parties will know the details of the project, an estimated cost, and an estimated timeframe.

Step 2: Preview 1

Following the initial consultation, we will put together a preview of your project. If your project is a web site, we will build the home page of the site. At this time, the first of two payments is collected and paperwork is signed.

Step 3: Refine

After the first preview, we will work on your project to correct any errors or to enhance certain aspects of the project if needed.

Step 4: Preview 2

After refining the initial preview, we will present you with a new preview. Once both parties agree, we move on to the next step. At this point, the second and final payment is collected.

Step 5: Build

Prior to this step, we have discussed your project and have shown you at least one preview. We now have a clear goal in mind and we will build out the rest of your project.

Step 6: Preview 3

After we finish building the project, we will present you with a final preview before your project goes live. This is the last chance to make corrections before your project is made available to the public.

Step 7: Complete

Boom! Step 7! Everything looks great and we have finished your project. Web sites are now published and/or print projects are ordered. With Step 7, PrismaPixel has turned your imagination into reality!
